Hardwood walnut - double sided specialty carving

We’ve been working on a project for our friends over at Channing Street Copper, creating the hardwood walnut knobs and handles for their beautiful stove: Copper.

These induction stoves are all about environmental emissions and craft, so no wonder they wanted to use a beautiful material like the local walnut hardwood we’ve sourced for them.

We worked with Copper on all aspects of the project from sourcing the local walnut hardwood planks, plaining the material to size and working closely with their design team on the 3D models in Fusion 360. Then into production with back and forth prototypes and iterations to get the pieces where the client wanted them.

Now we’re in full production - and have been working with them on finish and packaging options.

In the production shop, we’re streamlining the work flow, with larger planks and vacuum jigs, as these are lots of small parts with double sided carvings that need to be accurate for their fixtures.

Working back and forth with their design team, we’re creating these bespoke parts for the induction stove units, all made and assembled in CA. How cool is that!
